Tijuana has entered the top 20 safest cities for LGBT leisure

LGBT leisure

In the latest ranking of cities that are safe for LGBT sex tourism, more and more representatives of the Latin American region are appearing. For example, in Mexico, even the church is tolerant of homosexuals, and same-sex marriages are legal in all states. And although not all members of traditional society accept such relationships calmly, overall, the region is favorable and safe for LGBT people. That is why local resorts have become popular among vacationers with non-traditional orientations — for example, Tijuana is among the top 20 cities chosen by gays and lesbians for adult leisure. The city has hotels, private clubs, and brothels geared exclusively toward LGBT leisure.

Travel company statistics

According to statistics from Bordelero, over the past few years, the balance of erotic tourism has increasingly shifted toward vacations in Latin American countries. Foreign tourists often choose prostitutes in Tijuana — these girls are attractive and professional, but at the same time inexpensive and work legally. However, the recently compiled rating of resort cities that are popular and safe for LGBT people is also regularly updated with representatives from Latin America.

The latest calculations show that over the past year, 12 cities have made it into the top 50, overtaking many of the giants of the global sex industry. But Tijuana has gone further than anyone else – its popularity among non-traditional sex tourists has allowed the city to enter the top 20. This is quite understandable, as many foreigners come here to have fun with Tijuana escorts, who provide extensive sexual services without any restrictions and without fear of law enforcement.

Reasons for gay popularity

Although Mexico and other countries in the region are just beginning to develop economically, attitudes toward LGBT people here are liberal and tolerant. Same-sex marriages are legal in Mexico, Argentina (Corrientes), Brazil, and Colombia, so non-traditional tourists often come here not only to have fun but also to get married. Some countries also have government programs to support sexual minorities and have passed laws prohibiting sexual discrimination in the workplace.

Even if we evaluate the sex services in Tijuana, both classic prostitutes and LGBT professionals work freely here, and they are all equally popular and in demand among customers. And most local online platforms and resources for intimate encounters have separate categories for finding non-traditional contacts for adult leisure. Many foreigners come to the resort precisely to try something new that they were afraid or embarrassed to allow themselves at home.

It is noteworthy that among the elite and expensive escorts in Pander, the proportion of LGBT representatives has also grown significantly — now many top agencies necessarily have several guys and girls on staff who are ready to work with representatives of any gender. And the demand for these establishments is much higher than for those that prefer only traditional sexual services.

According to experts, the trend toward protecting the rights of sexual minorities in Latin America was set by Spain, which legalized gay marriage in the 2000s — in many ways, countries in the region are replicating the provisions of Spanish law. However, it is worth remembering that despite all their progressiveness, these countries also have very high crime rates, including against LGBT people, so both conventional and non-traditional sex tourists should not forget about their own safety.
